Today marks the start of a new adventure for Neustar. We’re launching Ultra DDI!
Ultra DDI is a new managed service offering, one that manages DNS, DHCP and IPAM (IP address management) inside a private network.
We’re excited about the new offering for a lot of reasons:
One, we’re seeing the problems of network complexity increase, and more IT departments are looking for options to help manage the craziness.
Two, we’re in a unique position to provide the best level of service. We have DNS expertise across the board organizationally.
Three, our architectural strategy for the service makes sense. We recognize that important parts of the service still need to remain onsite and controlled by the internal team, while moving monitoring and operational support to the cloud.
Four, it’s a big step forward in DNS end-to-end management, providing a service and tools that supports and comprehends the convergence of DNS.
What’s in the service?
There are three main components to the Ultra DDI service:
• Ultra DDI cloud based service: 24×7 Network and Security Operations Centers watching for notifications from your Ultra DDI service.
• Neustar gateway appliance: manages the secure connection between your network and the Neustar cloud. Through this appliance, Neustar connects to poll the health and data points from the various Infoblox appliances.
• Infoblox appliances: provide the IPAM capability. You are able to go in and change, add, delete IP address information at any time through the Infoblox management panel and all internal data remains internal and private.
