We are very pleased to launch this week an effort at using online and print advertising to communicate more about who we are and what we do. Over time, a number of people have said to me, “Neustar is the best kept secret in technology.” We aim to rectify that. It is important that our customers, would-be customers and investors, as well as policymakers, understand the full and vital role Neustar plays as a trusted, tested and neutral provider of services and as a crucial piece of our nation’s communications infrastructure.
We are, as some of the advertising will emphasize, the “Technology Behind the Technology.” For more than a decade and a half we have flawlessly enabled personal and rich communication between people so that lives are enhanced by the technology they use. Through an explosion of new communication options and innovations, we have provided the critical services that enable consumers seamlessly to take their telephone numbers with them when they change providers. When they text their friends, we ensure they reach exactly the person they are trying to reach. When they type into their browser the name of the website they want to visit, we make sure they are connected instantly with none other than that site.
In the months ahead, we’re going to introduce ourselves properly. We want the world to understand that “the best kept secret in technology” provides Internet registry services and managed Internet routing services, telephone number portability and information services, Internet security services, and web performance monitoring that helps our customers provide personalized experiences and services to their consumers. We want people to understand that we are now the world’s leading independent provider of Caller ID services, and that we can offer our customers critical insights into their own information derived from all of the work we do together.
We also are going to introduce the “People Behind The Technology Behind The Technology.”After all, being the trusted, tested and neutral provider of critical communication services doesn’t happen just because we have smart systems. It happens because we have smart and dedicated people, and we’d like to introduce you to them. So stay tuned.
