Congratulations to Scott Blake Harris, Neustar’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, for being recognized as one of the nation’s top communications lawyers. Last night, the Legal Times presented an award to Scott as a legal visionary, applauding his efforts in advancing the practice of communications law and improving government policies.
In addition to Scott’s years of legal service in both the public and private sectors, the award also recognizes Scott’s commitment to the communities Neustar calls home. Scott leads our corporate responsibility program, including the launch of programs aimed at improving science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education. He has been integral to the launch of “My Digital Life,” an online, in-school digital literacy program for students in Virginia and Kentucky. And he helped spearhead our partnership with “YearUp!,” an intensive training program that provides low-income young adults with hands-on skills development, college credits and corporate internships.
To those of us who get to work with Scott every day, this award doesn’t come as a surprise. Time and again, we’ve seen Scott combine his legal insight and impeccable judgment to solve hard problems, and we’ve all benefited from his keen understanding of our industry. Scott’s leadership is critical to Neustar’s continued growth and the successful implementation of its strategy to become a leading information and analytics company.
